A critical development has occurred years later in the investigation regarding university student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing in Tunceli since 2020. With the reopening of the case, detention orders were issued for 13 suspects, including Gülistan Doku's boyfriend and his stepfather, who is a former police officer. While the investigation was deepened with simultaneous operations in 7 provinces, it was reported that the incident is being handled within the scope of a murder suspicion.
A new stage has been reached in the investigation regarding university student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing in Tunceli since 2020. In the case, which has yielded no results for years, simultaneous operations were conducted in 7 provinces, and detention warrants were issued for 13 suspects. It has been reported that 11 people have been detained so far within the scope of the operation.
NEW STEP IN THE 6-YEAR-OLD CASE
A long-awaited critical development occurred in the investigation conducted regarding Gülistan Doku, who disappeared on January 5, 2020. Raids were carried out at addresses determined by the instruction of the Republic prosecutors, and it was learned that the scope of the investigation has been expanded.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 7 PROVINCES
Operations were carried out in 7 different provinces within the scope of the investigation centered in Tunceli. 11 of the 13 suspects for whom detention warrants were issued were captured and taken into custody.
NAMES THAT DRAW ATTENTION
Among those for whom detention warrants were issued were Zeinal Abakarov, who was stated to be Gülistan Doku's boyfriend, and his stepfather Engin Yücer, a former police officer. Additionally, it was noteworthy that some relatives of public officials from that period were also within the scope of the investigation.
The names of the 11 people taken into custody are as follows:
1-Zeinal Abakarov: (Gülistan's boyfriend)
2-Engin Yücer: (Zeinal's stepfather, a former police officer)
3-Cemile Yücer: (Zeinal's mother)
4-Uğurcan Açıkgöz : (A close friend of Mustafa Türkay Sonel at that time and still, the person appearing in the camera footage)
5-Erdoğan Elaldı: (The person who worked at the Tunceli Provincial Special Administration at that time)
6- Mustafa Türkay Sonel (Son of Tuncay Sonel, the Governor of Tunceli at the time and currently an inspector at the Ministry of Interior)
7. Gökhan Ertok : (A dismissed former police officer, the person who had contact with the Governor and his bodyguard during this process)
8. Savaş Gültürk : (The official responsible for cameras at Munzur University)
9. Süleyman Önal : (The official responsible for cameras at Munzur University)
