In a vocational school in China, a student who failed his exams carried out a knife attack, resulting in the deaths of 8 people and injuries to 17 others. The suspect of the attack, which occurred at 6:30 PM local time at Wuxi Vocational College of Arts and Technology, is a 21-year-old student with the surname Xu, who was apprehended at the scene. According to a statement from the Yixing police, Xu was unable to graduate due to failing his exams and was dissatisfied with his pay at the internship where he was working. Images shared on Western social media platforms showed the injured lying on the street and people rushing to help. However, on Chinese social media platforms like Weibo, only police statements can be seen, and images and photos related to the incident are censored. This was the second deadly attack to occur within a week. Previously, in the southern city of Zhuhai, a man drove into a crowd at a sports facility, resulting in the deaths of 35 people and injuries to 43 others. In October, there was an attack at a school in Beijing where five children were stabbed.
