SECOND PLACE AMONG 750 THOUSAND WORKS In the incident that widely resonated on social media, it was claimed that Çoruş came second in the competition with 750 thousand participants but could not attend the award ceremony due to visa issues. Later, it was stated that the award sent from France was destroyed during customs procedures.

Kaplan noted that the artist's achievement was a source of pride for Turkey, using the following expressions:
