In the latest public opinion survey conducted by 'Turkey's Data Map' in July 2026, the probable election scenario was examined in case the Supreme Election Board (YSK) vetoes the NEW Party. In the survey conducted with 1,720 people, the AK Party ranked first with 27.8 percent, while the DEM Party stood out with 15.8 percent and the İYİ Party with 14.9 percent.
In the latest public opinion survey prepared by "Turkey's Data Map" for the July 2026 period, the possible vote distribution that would occur if the Supreme Election Council (YSK) vetoes the New Party was examined. In the survey conducted using the CATI method, the AK Party ranked first with 27.8 percent.
"IF YSK VETOES THE NEW PARTY..." SCENARIO
The public opinion research company "Turkey's Data Map" asked voters in its July 2026 report, "If a general election were held this Sunday, who would you vote for?" In the measurement based on the scenario where the YSK does not approve the New Party's eligibility to enter the election, the vote shares of the parties were ranked as follows:

OZEL'S IMMUNITY IN DANGER
On the other hand, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared a legal report regarding New Party Chairman Ozgur Ozel and Malatya Deputy Veli Aghbaba on the allegation of "aggravated bribery" and sent it to the Ministry of Justice. The report requested the lifting of Ozel's immunity.
In the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that Ozel, by abusing his influence and authority, obtained benefits from Muhittin Bocek and his son Mustafa Gokhan Bocek on various dates, either directly or through Aghbaba, in order to ensure that Bocek was nominated as the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate in the Local Administration General Elections held on March 31, 2024.
In the statement, which emphasized that it was understood that Ozel also obtained financial benefits from Uşak Mayor Ozkan Yalim, who was suspended from duty, on various dates to be used at the CHP 38th Ordinary Convention held on November 4-5, 2023, it was noted that Aghbaba, upon Ozel's instruction, also obtained benefits in different amounts from Muhittin Bocek and his son Mustafa Gokhan Bocek for the mayoral candidacy.
