It was determined that after an argument broke out between real estate agent Baran Yücekaya and H.S., who had met for a land sale, Yücekaya sent location information to H.S.'s enemies. Six people, including Yücekaya who was injured in the attack, were detained and arrested.
In the armed attack in Adana where one person died, it was determined that real estate agent Baran Yücekaya, one of the 4 injured, could not agree with H.S., whom he had met to sell land, and sent the location information to H.S.'s foes during the argument. Yücekaya, whose treatment at the hospital was completed, was detained and arrested along with the shooters and those who helped them, a total of 6 people.
The incident occurred on July 30 at around 19:30 at a kebab shop on Adnan Kahveci Boulevard in the Güzelyalı neighborhood of Çukurova district. Two suspects, who arrived in front of the workplace on a motorcycle and hid their faces with hoods, opened fire with a Kalashnikov and a pistol on their foes who were eating inside. In the attack, H.S., E.Ç., K.E., and real estate agent Baran Yücekaya were injured.
LOST HIS LIFE WHILE INTERVENING IN THE ATTACK Meanwhile, Samet Aksoy, who worked at the hotel across from the kebab shop, tried to neutralize one of the fleeing suspects. However, Aksoy was seriously wounded by bullets from the attacker's gun. While the suspects fled on the motorcycle, the moments were recorded on a mobile phone by a nearby person. Upon the report, numerous police and health teams were dispatched to the area. The injured, H.S., E.Ç., K.E., Baran Yücekaya, and Samet Aksoy, were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances. Among the injured, Samet Aksoy lost his life despite all medical intervention. Aksoy's body was taken to the morgue after the autopsy. The lightly injured Yücekaya was discharged after his treatment.
HID AFTER BEING DISCHARGED Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau, who launched an investigation into the incident, expanded the investigation based on the statements of the injured. The examination revealed that Baran Yücekaya, injured in the attack, had met H.S. at the kebab shop to discuss the land sale. According to the claim, it was understood that Yücekaya, who had a disagreement with H.S. during the meeting, sent the kebab shop's location to people with whom H.S. had a feud over a debt-credit issue. It was determined that the shooters who arrived at the scene opened fire, and Baran Yücekaya hid at an address after being discharged.
"I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INCIDENT, I WAS ALSO INJURED" The teams detained Muhammet Çiftçi, identified as the shooter, Muhammed Rezuk, alleged to have driven the motorcycle, and Baran Yücekaya, along with his wife S.Y., mother S.Y., and A.A., who were alleged to have helped Yücekaya hide. Denying the charges in his statement at the police station, Baran Yücekaya said, "I have nothing to do with the incident. I was also injured in the attack, I am a victim."
