Mehmet Emin Yüksel (22), the suspect in the armed attack in which Yasin Binarci (26) was killed and Mehmet Işık was injured on the 17th floor of a residence in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, was found dead, shot with a gun in his car in an empty lot next to a construction site in Bağcılar. Two shell casings and one knife were seized in the vehicle. Three people who left the car and fled on foot are being sought.
In a residence in Büyükçekmece, the suspect of an armed attack in which Yasin Binarci (26) lost his life and Mehmet Işık was injured, Mehmet Emin Yüksel (22), was found dead, shot with a firearm in his car in an empty lot next to a construction site in Bağcılar. Efforts have been launched to catch 3 suspects who were determined to have fled on foot after abandoning the car.
BLOODY ATTACK ON THE 17TH FLOOR
The incident occurred yesterday around 13:30 at a residence in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood of Büyükçekmece. Police teams went to the scene upon a report that gunshots were heard in the residence. Checking the address, the teams determined that Yasin Binarci and Mehmet Işık were subjected to an armed attack in an apartment on the 17th floor. Seeing the two people covered in blood, the police notified medical teams. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Yasin Binarci had lost his life. The injured Mehmet Işık was taken to the hospital after first aid. During searches at the residence, 3 handguns and a quantity of narcotic substances were seized.
SUSPECT OF THE ATTACK FOUND DEAD IN HIS CAR
Following the attack, teams that launched efforts to catch the suspect found an abandoned car with license plate 06 CJN 835 in an empty lot at a construction site on Taşocağı Street in Mahmutbey Neighborhood of Bağcılar. Seeing a person lying motionless inside the car, the police notified medical teams. Medical teams determined that the person in the car had lost his life. In the identification made, it was determined that the deceased was Mehmet Emin Yüksel, the suspect of the armed attack in the residence in which Yasin Binarci lost his life and Mehmet Işık was injured. During examinations by crime scene investigation teams in the car, 2 9-millimeter shell casings and 1 knife were seized.
3 SUSPECTS ARE BEING SOUGHT
As the work continued, it was determined that the car was left by 3 people and the suspects fled on foot. Police teams have launched efforts to identify and catch the 3 suspects.
