DROVE THE VAN AT POLICE
The incident occurred around 10:30 AM in Menderes Neighborhood, Dörtyol Square. According to allegations, F.K. (32), who had argued with his wife, locked himself in his parked van. After a while, upon reports from those who saw F.K. harming himself with a knife beside him, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. F.K., who drove his vehicle at the police teams at the scene, was stopped by firing at the van's tires. As he was being brought out of the vehicle, F.K., who walked toward the police with a knife in his hand, was taken into custody by the teams. F.K., who had injured himself in the incident, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after medical checks. It was learned that the suspect's life was not in danger.

Eyewitness to the incident Cemal Çapkan said, "He cut himself with a knife. The police told him to 'stop,' but he did not stop. He got into the car and drove around here. He did not comply with the police's stop order. The police had to fire at the tires. He did not listen to his relative who came to the scene. The police broke the window and took the man out. They took him away by ambulance."
