In Giresun, a security officer named Abdullah Turan shot and killed two sisters in the school cafeteria of the Social Sciences High School. It has been learned that the suspect had previously been imprisoned three times for "wounding with a firearm" and "threatening." It was determined that the suspect was hired at the school after being released from prison in order to be reintegrated into society as a former convict.
The Social Sciences High School located in the Aksu neighborhood of Giresun was stained with blood in the morning hours. The school's security officer Abdullah Turan (53) shot cleaning staff member Yonca Çavuş (30) and her visiting sister Rana Çavuş Gökçin (27) in the cafeteria. Yonca Çavuş died at the scene, and Rana Çavuş Gökçin also lost her life at the hospital where she was taken for treatment. The suspect, who fled the scene after the murders, was captured and taken into custody.
