In Adana, İ.E.Y. (17), who shot and killed phone repairman Emrah Satıkalp (37) at his workplace with a pistol, along with O.A. (16), M.M.A. (17), and M.G. (17), who took him to the scene and helped him escape, were caught and arrested.
In Adana, phone repairman Emrah Satıkalp (37), who was shot and killed with a pistol at his workplace by İ.E.Y. (17), along with O.A. (16), who took him to the scene and helped him escape, and M.M.A. (17) and M.G. (17), were caught and arrested. It was revealed that M.M.A. and M.G., whom the suspects met after the murder, set fire to the motorcycle used in the incident to destroy evidence.
The incident occurred on March 30 at around 12:00 in the Gülbahçesi neighborhood of Seyhan district. The suspect, who concealed his face with a balaclava, entered the phone repair shop of Emrah Satıkalp on a motorcycle driven by his friend. Drawing a pistol from his waist, the suspect shot Satıkalp, who was waiting at the counter, in the head and then fled on the motorcycle he arrived on. Health teams were dispatched to the address upon reports from those nearby. Satıkalp was taken to the hospital after intervention by medical personnel. Despite all efforts, Emrah Satıkalp succumbed to his injuries.
IDENTIFIED THROUGH CAMERA FOOTAGE
Teams from the Homicide Bureau, who launched an investigation into the attack, examined footage from the area and the City Security Management System (KGYS), Plate Tracking System (PTS), and security cameras within a 10-kilometer radius. The investigation identified the gunman as İ.E.Y. and the motorcycle driver as Lebanese national O.A. Additionally, it was determined that the suspects gave the motorcycle they escaped on to M.M.A., M.G., and H.Ö. (14) in the Mıdık neighborhood.
CAUGHT IN THE HOUSE WHERE THEY WERE HIDING
Homicide detectives investigating the area revealed that the 3 suspects who received the motorcycle set it on fire to destroy evidence. Teams then apprehended the 5 suspects, whom they had traced to a house in the Barbaros neighborhood, in a raid on the address. During a search of the house, 5 unlicensed pistols, including one believed to have been used in the incident and one blank gun, along with a balaclava, were seized.
THEY CLAIMED THEY DID NOT KNOW THE DECEASED
The suspects, taken to the police station, denied the charges during interrogations and claimed they did not know Emrah Satıkalp. After processing, they were sent to the courthouse and brought before the court; İ.E.Y., O.A., M.M.A., and M.G. were arrested, while H.Ö. was released under judicial control.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the police are continuing their investigation to apprehend other suspects who may have been involved in the murder.
