Two separate earthquakes, with magnitudes of 3.9 and 4.4, occurred within five minutes in the Battalgazi district of Malatya.

Malatya was shaken by two earthquakes. The consecutive earthquakes occurred around 15:40 local time.

FIRST EARTHQUAKE MAGNITUDE 3.9

According to data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the first tremor was recorded at 15:41 with a magnitude of 3.9. The earthquake was reported to have occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers.

SECOND TREMOR CAUSED FEAR

Shortly after the first earthquake, a second tremor occurred. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Battalgazi, with a magnitude measured at 4.4, and it was announced that it occurred at a depth of 16.36 kilometers.

TREMORS ALSO OCCURRED IN BINGÖL AND MUŞ

Meanwhile, yesterday (April 26), Bingöl's Yedisu district experienced a 4.4 magnitude earthquake, and Muş's Bulanık district was shaken by a 4.1 magnitude tremor.
