The Syrian army took control of the Shaddadi Military Air Base located in the Shaddadi countryside of Hasakah province after coordination with the United States.

In a statement made to the country's official news agency SANA by the Syrian Ministry of Defense Media and Communication Administration, it was reported that the Shaddadi Military Air Base, from which the U.S. has withdrawn, has been taken over as part of the coordination process on the ground.

LOCATED IN THE AREA LIBERATED FROM YPG

The Syrian army had liberated a large area from the terrorist organization YPG through operations conducted in the northeastern part of the country. The Shaddadi Air Base, which the U.S. considered strategically important, was among the areas in the rural Hasakah that government forces had liberated from the YPG.
