The Syrian government opposed the "federation" demand of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG. The Syrian Presidency stated in response to the terrorist organization PKK/YPG's demand for federation that "the territorial and national integrity of Syria is a red line for us."

Reactions to the "federation" demand of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDF in Syria, are growing exponentially. Following the messages from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Doha, the Syrian government also made a very strong statement.

"TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY IS OUR RED LINE"

In a statement made through the Syrian Presidency's Telegram channel, a reaction was shown to the "federation" demand of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDF.

The statement said, "The recent actions and statements of the SDF, which call for federation and aim to create a separate structure on the ground, clearly contradict the content of the agreement (Damascus administration-SDF) and threaten the unity and territorial integrity of the country. We explicitly reject any attempts to impose a reality aimed at dividing the country or to create separate structures under the name of federation or autonomous administration."

In the presidential statement, it was warned that "the territorial and national integrity of Syria is a red line for us, and any violation or deviation in this regard is considered an attack on Syria's united identity."

"NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY IS BEING THREATENED"

The statement expressed "deep concern" over practices indicating dangerous demographic change attempts in some regions, stating, "We warn that the practices of the SDF, such as obstructing the work of state institutions and using national resources outside the control of the state, will deepen the division and threaten national sovereignty."

The statement emphasized that the rights of the Kurdish people, like all other components of the Syrian people, are protected under a single and united Syrian state, based on full citizenship and equality before the law, noting that there is no need for any external intervention or foreign tutelage to protect these rights.

HAKAN FIDAN ALSO ISSUED A WARNING

On the other hand, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in the Qatari capital, Doha. After the meeting, Minister Fidan held a press conference with Sheikh Al Thani.

Fidan reacted to the terrorist organization's demand for federation in Syria, stating, "We will continue to stand against certain groups that are taking advantage of the situation in Syria. We expect the agreement signed between the YPG and the administration in Syria in recent months to be implemented. At the same time, we expect the PKK as an organization to respond positively to the call as soon as possible, to lay down their arms, and to cease being an obstacle to the return to normalcy in our region. Just as ISIS exited the system in Syria, the PKK will also exit the system. Either voluntarily, in peace, or in another way."
