Shocking footage has emerged of two preschool teachers laughing while allowing students to beat up a classmate.

Devastated mother Olevia Robinson told WAFB that her four-year-old son was beaten in fight club-style videos at Riveroaks Elementary School in January.

The mother said the teachers claimed her son had behavioral problems, but she received these disturbing videos before the parent-teacher meeting.

In one of the clips, a teacher can be seen shouting at the student who is punching Robinson's son to stop, while the teacher filming the video is laughing.

In another video, a teacher is recording while Robinson's son is being beaten. When another student tries to break up the fight, the teacher says, "This doesn't concern you."

Robinson said she planned a parent-teacher meeting because her son was suspended for kicking another student, but after seeing the videos, she went to the school principal.

"I believed the teachers when they said, 'Your son just wants to avoid punishment,' but that was not the case at all," Robinson said.

"The teachers said they were trying to record behavior in the classroom, but the video showed nothing about my son's behavior. It only showed the kids who were beating him."

Robinson stated that the videos were recorded weeks before they were shown to her, and the teachers never mentioned them.

"They brought it to [the principal's] attention today because they learned I had the video. That video was recorded on January 13 at 11:50. The other video at 11:51. If they wanted to show it to me, they would have," she said.

"He may not have been seriously injured physically, but he was hurt mentally. He was hurt emotionally. His trust was broken. He can no longer trust anyone at school."

East Baton Rouge Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole said the involved teachers have been placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.

"It is extremely disturbing, extremely disappointing, and absolutely disgusting to see this behavior from adults in the classroom," Cole said.

"I want to say to families: Don't let the actions of two employees who made poor decisions reflect on all the other employees who come in every day and do their jobs correctly."

Concerned parents from the Riveroaks Elementary School community told WBRZ that they were not surprised by the incident and claimed that bullying and fighting are common at the school.

A grandmother said, "This happens all the time. Last year, my grandson was bullied because he was very small and wore glasses. And it’s like they just stand there and watch."

"I told my daughter that we need to transfer him. I’m fed up; he needs to be transferred. Because next year, it could be something different."

One parent said, "My son has come home with many stories about trying to break up fights on the playground and the teachers just standing there doing nothing."

"There are many classes, and the little kids are bullying and fighting. He said he was pushed when he stood up to protect another child in his class. So I wasn’t surprised," she said.
