The temperatures are dropping across the country.

Across the country, air temperatures will drop, especially in the northern, central, and eastern parts of the country, where temperatures will decrease by 5 to 9 degrees.

Mehmet Özdemirci, a meteorology expert from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, evaluated the week's weather forecast for AA correspondent. Özdemirci stated that air temperatures have started to drop across the country since yesterday, and reported that temperatures in the northern, central, and eastern regions will decrease by 5 to 9 degrees. He mentioned that temperatures in the central and northern regions are below seasonal norms, while in other regions, they are around seasonal norms.

"WE WILL SEE RAIN AND SNOW MIXED WITH SNOW"

Özdemirci expressed that tomorrow, rainy weather will dominate the northern parts of the country and the Black Sea Region, stating, "There are intermittent rains in Sakarya, Ardahan, Hakkari, and Şırnak. We will see rain mixed with snow and snowfall, especially in the inner parts of the Western and Eastern Black Sea and in the high regions of Ardahan and Hakkari." He also mentioned that particularly tomorrow, very heavy and severe rainfall is expected along the Eastern Black Sea coasts, in the areas of Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin, warning citizens about the potential for flooding.

On Wednesday, Özdemirci reported that only intermittent rain is expected along the Eastern Black Sea coasts, and stated that there is no expectation of rain across the country in the following days.

3 METROPOLITAN CITIES WEATHER FORECAST

Özdemirci indicated that no rain is expected in Istanbul over the next 3 days, and generally, it will be mostly clear and sunny. He said, "Temperatures will be 8-16 tomorrow, 10-15 on Wednesday, and 10-17 on Thursday." He also shared that no rain is expected in Izmir over the next 3 days, with daytime temperatures around 21 and nighttime temperatures ranging from 9 to 10 degrees. In Ankara, he noted that mostly clear weather will prevail, with no rain expected, stating, "There will be local fog events, especially at night and in the morning hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. We expect temperatures of 0 at night, 12 during the day tomorrow, minus 1 at night and 12 during the day on Wednesday, and minus 1 at night and 13 during the day on Thursday."

Meteorology expert Özdemirci pointed out that temperatures in the central and eastern parts of the country are expected to drop below zero in the next 4-5 days, thus issuing a warning for agricultural frost.
