In Sultangazi, Imam Abdülkerim Kaba, who was riding his motorcycle to the mosque for the morning prayer, fell into a pit allegedly dug by İGDAŞ. Kaba was run over by a truck coming from behind and lost his life. Kaba's family filed a complaint, claiming negligence on the part of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).
Abdülkerim Kaba FELL INTO THE PIT, GOT RUN OVER BY A TRUCK The incident occurred on December 16 in the early morning hours on 2375th Street in Esentepe Neighborhood. Imam Abdülkerim Kaba, who was on his way to the mosque for the morning prayer, fell into a pit dug due to the work done by İGDAŞ. After falling, Kaba was run over by a vehicle coming from behind and lost his life. Following the incident, the vehicle owner was taken into custody and later released under judicial control conditions.
IMAM'S FAMILY FILED A COMPLAINT After the accident, Imam Abdülkerim Kaba's family filed a complaint against those responsible, claiming that the pit was not closed and that there were no warning signs present.
