In a written statement made by TCDD Transportation Inc., it was stated, "Dear passengers, as of January 13, 2025, our ticket prices for High-Speed Trains, mainline, and regional trains have been updated with a rate lower than inflation and revaluation rates. With this update, we will continue to offer our valued passengers economical and comfortable travel options in railway transportation and to continuously improve our service quality. This is an important announcement for our passengers."

With the new tariff; the Ankara-Istanbul route has increased from 540 TL to 780 TL, the Ankara-Konya route from 250 TL to 360 TL, and the Ankara-Eskişehir route from 280 TL to 390 TL.

In a statement that seems to mock, TCDD Transportation Inc. announced that they raised ticket prices below inflation and implemented increases of up to 44.4%. However, in the new year, civil servants and retirees received a 11% salary increase, SGK and Bağkur retirees received a 15% increase, and minimum wage earners received a 30% salary increase. This is called crushing citizens under inflation right before their eyes.
