United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned the attack by the Houthis on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, which killed 12 people. Stating that attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure are violations of international law, Guterres called for an immediate end to such attacks. According to the statement by authorities in Saudi Arabia, 309 people were also injured in the attack.

Guterres shared a statement about the attack from his account on the social media platform of US-based company X. Guterres, who stated that he strongly condemned the attack the Houthis carried out on the airport yesterday, noted that attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure are violations of international law.
Emphasizing that such attacks must be stopped immediately, Guterres called on the parties to stop the attacks.
DEATH TOLL RISES TO 12
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia had announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the attack on King Khalid International Airport rose to 12, and the number of injured rose to 309.

Clashes between government forces and the Houthis in Yemen have recently been increasing. Iran-backed Houthis, claiming that attacks are being carried out against them, target Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
