The tension between municipal police teams and a street vendor in Eskişehir was captured on camera. The words of the street vendor, whose stall was confiscated, drew attention.
The incident occurred on Porsuk Boulevard in the İstiklal neighborhood of Tepebaşı district. Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Police Department teams intervened with a person working as a street vendor during an inspection in the area. The street vendor, selling items such as prayer beads, rings, lighters, and knives, refused to hand over his stall to the police teams.
PRODUCTS SCATTERED ON THE GROUND
A brief scuffle broke out between the vendor resisting the police teams and the officers during the seizure of the stall. Some products were scattered on the ground as the stall was being pulled. The street vendor reacted by saying, "Don't take it, I told you I need it. Did you warn me? You can't take it without warning. You should warn me, brother."
"IS IT BECAUSE YOU SEE US AS POOR?"
In the argument between the parties, voices were raised while the police officer stated that the vendor had been warned before. The street vendor expressed his reaction by saying, "Don't act tough with me, I'm speaking decently. Do your job. Did you do this because you see us as poor?" During the tension, the angry vendor was seen kicking his products that had fallen to the ground.
MOMENTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA
Noticing the press members filming the incident, the street vendor continued to react to the events. After the police teams left the area, the vendor spoke to the camera, saying, "He didn't do anything just because the camera is here now."
