In a joint inspection by municipal police and agricultural teams in the Bodrum district of Muğla, approximately 1 ton 200 kilograms of expired products were detected at a food establishment. While the spoiled products in the business that disregarded public health were destroyed, a legal process was initiated to seal and close the shop.
Bodrum Municipality continues its inspections throughout the district without interruption in order to protect public health and ensure citizens' access to safe food. Most recently, an operation carried out against a food business operating in the Bahçelievler Neighborhood Industrial Site revealed the extent of the danger.
JOINT INSPECTION BY THREE INSTITUTIONS
The raid on the aforementioned business was conducted jointly under the coordination of the Bodrum Municipality Police Department, with the participation of personnel from the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Directorate of Cleaning Affairs. During detailed inspections inside the facility, it was determined that many food products awaiting sale and consumption had passed their expiration dates.
SEALING PROCESS INITIATED FOR THE BUSINESS
As a result of the inspections, approximately 1 ton 200 kilograms of expired food products were seized and then systematically destroyed by the teams after official records were taken. The legal process has been initiated to terminate the current operations of the business that directly threatens public health and to fully seal it.

Officials from the Bodrum Municipality Police Department emphasized in their assessment after the operation that inspections will continue without slowing down. It was stated that full cooperation is maintained with relevant institutions to ensure citizens' access to safe food, and that no elements threatening public health in the district will be tolerated, with legal sanctions being applied resolutely.
