Recently, a dialogue between a police officer from the Traffic Control Station and a motorcycle-riding teacher at a checkpoint in the Konaklı neighborhood of Alanya became a hot topic. Erkan Kordon, who was stopped for a check at the traffic checkpoint while on his way from Alanya to Konaklı, received great appreciation from users after sharing his experiences on his social media.
"DON'T MAKE YOUR FAMILY EXPERIENCE THE PAIN OF LOSING A CHILD"
The police officer who stopped Erkan Kordon greeted him with "How are you, brother?" and then took his documents. After a while, while they were chatting about motorcycles, the police officer's words, "Brother, be careful. Wear your jacket. The jacket is important. You seem to be older than me. I lost my child in the earthquake; don't make your family experience the pain of losing a child," touched their hearts. Kordon then shared these moments on social media, and both the officer's behavior and advice were appreciated by everyone.
"I WAS VERY TOUCHED"
After the incident, Erkan Kordon, who works at Avsallar 100th Year Middle School, expressed that he was also affected by the situation, saying, "I had a dialogue with our police officer friend. In this dialogue, he gave me advice and some information. In the end, he said, 'I lost my family in the earthquake; I experienced the pain of losing a child; don't make your family experience the pain of losing a child.' I was very touched there. He is trying to do his job while also having somehow processed this pain within himself and trying to perform his duty in the best way possible. I didn't want to remain indifferent. I wanted to share this on my page. There were very positive responses, prayers, and thanks. Sentences that made the Turkish Police proud were expressed," he said.
