The dismembered body of Igor Komarov, the son of a Ukrainian businessman kidnapped while on vacation in Bali, has been found. Claims that he became a target due to his girlfriend's location sharing and details of torture in a ransom video have drawn attention.

Igor Komarov, the son of a Ukrainian businessman, was found dead and dismembered weeks after being kidnapped in Bali; the incident caused a major international outcry.

HIS SHARES MADE HIM A TARGET

Striking details emerged in the investigation following the kidnapping of 28-year-old Igor Komarov in Bali on February 15. It was alleged that location-tagged shares made by Komarov's influencer girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova, on social media led to the young businessman's location being identified. According to the claim, these shares made it easier for the attackers to track Komarov step by step.

TORTURE DETAILS EMERGED IN RANSOM VIDEO

In a video shared after his kidnapping, Komarov was seen subjected to severe torture. While the attackers demanded a ransom of approximately 7 million pounds, the video included moments where Komarov asked for help with the words, "They cut off my limbs, my condition is very bad." The footage revealed the gravity of the incident.

DISMEMBERED BODY FOUND AT RIVER MOUTH

Approximately two weeks after the incident, human limbs and a head were detected at a river mouth on the east coast of Bali. Authorities confirmed through DNA analysis that the parts belonged to Igor Komarov. Police announced that the body's head, legs, and internal organs were found dismembered. Within the scope of the investigation, blood traces found in a rented vehicle and a villa were also determined to belong to Komarov. Based on security camera footage and obtained evidence, a total of 7 suspects, one of whom was identified as using a fake passport, were taken into custody.

GIRLFRIEND'S SHARES SPARKED REACTION

After the incident, it was noted that Yeva Mishalova continued her social media shares. Mishalova sharing a photo taken with Komarov with the note "I love you" sparked debate on social media.
