In the Ortahisar district of Trabzon, a non-commissioned officer was found shot with a pistol in his home by his friends after he did not report for duty. According to initial assessments, it is suspected that the non-commissioned officer committed suicide.
34-year-old Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant B.B., who was working in the Ortahisar district of Trabzon, was found dead with gunshot wounds by his friends who entered his home after he did not go to work. While initial findings point to the possibility of suicide, a comprehensive investigation has been launched into the incident.
The incident occurred in an apartment building on Mineli Street in Bahçecik Neighborhood, Ortahisar district. When Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant B.B. (34), who worked at Bahçecik Prison, did not report for duty in the morning and could not be reached, his colleagues became suspicious. Going to the specialist sergeant's residence, his friends encountered a horrific scene upon entering. Finding B.B. lying motionless in blood, his colleagues immediately notified police and medical teams.
SUICIDE SUSPICION IS UNDER CONSIDERATION
Upon the notification, medical teams quickly arrived at the scene and determined during initial checks that Specialist Sergeant B.B. had died as a result of being shot with a pistol. Following investigations by crime scene teams at the home, the suspicion emerged that the military personnel may have ended his life with his own service weapon. B.B.'s lifeless body was taken to the Trabzon Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
A multi-faceted judicial investigation into the incident continues.
