The waters are not settling in the CHP following the court's 'absolute nullity' decision. Gökçe Gökçen, who serves as the Deputy Chairman responsible for Legal Policies under Özgür Özel's administration, responded to allegations that he wrote "Traitor Kemal" on the wall of his room at the evacuated party headquarters. Stating that he was not even at the headquarters on the day the writing in question was allegedly made, Gökçen claimed that his room was broken into by supporters of the new administration, his personal belongings were rummaged through, and his cabinets were ransacked.
The tension that began when Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's team entered the CHP Headquarters under police escort after the court's 'absolute nullity' decision has escalated to a new level.
In a video that surfaced on social media, the wall of one of the emptied offices of the deputy chairmen in Özel's administration was seen written 'Traitor Kemal', and it was claimed that this office belonged to Izmir Deputy Gökçe Gökçen.
GÖKÇEN RESPONDS TO ALLEGATIONS: MY OFFICE WAS RAIDED BY NULLITY SUPPORTERS, MY BELONGINGS WERE SCATTERED
Responding to the allegations made about him on his social media account, Gökçe Gökçen stated that he was slandered on a channel he does not watch and said: 'My office at the Headquarters was raided by nullity supporters, my personal belongings were rummaged through, cabinets were emptied, and writings were made on the wall. The photo of my friend and brother, Gülşah Durbay, whose memory I wish to be left in peace and whose loss I still mourn, was taken down by those who slander her.'
'IF ANYONE IS CONFIDENT, LET THEM RELEASE THE CAMERA FOOTAGE'
Emphasizing that he was not even present in the Headquarters building on the day the writing was made, Gökçen also challenged the Kılıçdaroğlu administration over the camera footage: 'What the slanderers do not realize is that I was not at the Headquarters on the mentioned day. Therefore, I did not write that writing. If anyone is confident about themselves, let them retrieve the camera footage to show who entered the office and how after I left. I would gladly send them the camera footage of the cabinets being rummaged through.'

Stressing that he grew up through the CHP Youth Branch and worked at every level of the party through his own efforts, Gökçen concluded his statements with the following words: 'To those who think they can tear me away from the party — which I joined the youth branch the day I turned 18, where I went door-to-door in every election, distributed brochures, became a part of it, faced absurd accusations in court, received death threats yet never gave up, made its banners with my own hands, and have worked at every level for 16 years — a word: You will lick your palms.'
