The 10th Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Turkish Film Days, held this year in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, opened its doors with a magnificent gala night and red carpet ceremony. Within the scope of the festival, which strengthens cultural ties between the two countries, famous artists such as Ibrahim Buyukak and Deniz Barut will meet with cinema enthusiasts. All film screenings and interviews, which will take place with the participation of Manas University students and the public, will end on June 7.
The "Turkey – Kyrgyzstan Turkish Film Days," which strengthen the cultural ties between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan through the power of cinema, met with movie enthusiasts this year for the 10th time in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The event, bringing together the art worlds of the two brotherly countries, started with a magnificent opening ceremony.
RED CARPET SPLENDOR AT ALA-TOO CINEMA
The event, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, contributions from the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, and organized by the Native Thought Association, took place at the iconic Ala-Too Cinema in Bishkek. At the night marked by high attendance, numerous famous names from the Turkish and Kyrgyz cinema worlds graced the red carpet. Many artists, directors, and producers, especially beloved Turkish cinema actors İbrahim Büyükak and Deniz Barut, were met with intense interest from Bishkek movie enthusiasts.
CINEMA AND POLITICAL WORLDS TOGETHER
The gala night was attended by film producers and directors Murat Emre Kaman, Murat Çeri, Yüksel Aksu, and Ahmet Edebali, as well as high-level bureaucrats. Among those present at the program were Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Nadyrbekov Soyuzbek Nadyrbekovich, Turkey's Ambassador to Bishkek Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem, General Director of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Birol Güven, TRT Cinema Director Faruk Güven, Chairman of the Native Thought Association and Ordu Deputy Metin Gündoğdu, and Manas University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan.
"THIS EVENT IS A BRIDGE OF FRIENDSHIP AND BROTHERHOOD"
During the opening speeches, emphasis was placed on the shared historical and cultural ties between the two countries. General Director of Cinema Birol Güven stated that the film days are not just a cinema event, but an important cultural bridge strengthening the bonds of friendship.
Ambassador Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem drew attention to the fact that relations are built on heartfelt bonds, while Kyrgyz Deputy Minister Nadyrbekovich thanked those who contributed to the organization for its contributions to cultural rapprochement. Following the speeches, plaques were presented to those who contributed to the festival.
OPENING HELD WITH FILM "ARE WE HAPPY" AND IBRAHIM BUYUMAK INTERVIEW
After the plaque ceremony and group photo session, the festival's opening film "Are We Happy" met with movie enthusiasts. Following the screening, the film's lead actor İbrahim Büyükak had a sincere interview with the audience. Büyükak, who honestly answered the audience's questions, also did not miss the opportunity to take photos with his fans.
ALL SCREENINGS WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE
Within the scope of the event, which brings distinguished examples of Turkish cinema to Kyrgyz movie enthusiasts, "Are We Happy", "Look, the Postman is Coming", "Creating a Man", "Kanto", and the fantastic children's film "The Secret of Ephesus" can be watched for free. On the second day of the festival, following the screening of the film "Look, the Postman is Coming", famous actress Deniz Barut will meet with movie enthusiasts.
The 10th Turkey – Kyrgyzstan Turkish Film Days, which saw intense participation from Manas University students, academics, and the public, will continue until June 7 with film screenings, interviews, and various cultural events.
