On April 18, under the leadership of Turkey, the first meeting of the "Parliamentary Group Supporting Palestine" will be held in Istanbul, where parliamentarians from 13 countries will establish a common platform for the Palestinian cause. At the meeting where Kurtulmuş will give the opening speech, the President of the Palestinian National Council Rawhi Fattouh, the President of the Qatari Shura Council Hassan bin Abdulla Al Ghanim, the President of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Saqr Ghobash, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Serdar Ayaz Sadık, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia Tan Sri Dato Johari bin Abdul, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Indonesia Puan Maharani, the President of the National Assembly of Senegal El Hadj Malick Ndiaye, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Jordan Ahmad Ali Safadi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Bahrain Ahmed Al Musalam, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Algeria Hammad Ayoub, the Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ali Ahmadov, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt Ahmed Saad El Deen will also speak. A CALL FOR A STRONG AND COMMON STANCE AGAINST ISRAEL'S AGGRESSION

The group, which will come together to effectively use parliamentary diplomacy to end the attacks, massacres, and the resulting humanitarian disaster caused by Israel's ongoing assaults in Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, is expected to make a call to the international community for a strong and common stance against Israeli aggression.

PARLIAMENTARY INITIATIVE LAUNCHED BY KURTULMUŞ

The parliamentary initiative launched by TBMM President Kurtulmuş aims to establish an inter-parliamentary solidarity line for Palestine. In this context, discussions will be held on strengthening support for a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict, increasing the number of countries recognizing the state of Palestine, defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and finding solutions to stop the humanitarian disasters in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza, as soon as possible.

A JOINT DECLARATION WILL BE PUBLISHED

At the end of the meeting, which will be one of the international events held in Turkey and will also determine the roadmap for the establishment of the "Group of Parliaments Supporting Palestine," it is anticipated that a joint declaration of the participating national parliaments will be published.
