The Turkish referee whose sexual relationship video surfaced has broken his silence.

The Turkish Football Federation's Arbitration Board unanimously approved the decision to revoke the licenses of a male observer and a female referee after sexual intercourse videos emerged. According to the decision, the lifetime bans for observer O.E. and referee E.K. have been finalized.

"HE TRIED TO CONTACT ME IN A BAD WAY"

Following the incident, the female referee, who became the center of attention, made a statement on her social media account in response to the allegations against her. E.K., stating that she does not officiate under the federation, said, "All the matches I have officiated are private tournaments and not affiliated with the federation. I have not made any comments about a person who has no connection to me, who has reached a certain age, and who has tried to contact me in a threatening and inappropriate manner."

"I AM A WOMAN WITH A LOT TO LOSE"

Continuing her statement, E.K. said, "I am a young woman who is focused on her work, graduated with honors, and has a lot to lose." She added, "I did not want to be associated with these things and stayed away from everyone trying to harm me. However, I see that things have gotten completely out of hand; you know that this is how women's deaths happen."

"THE VIDEO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME"

E.K. stated in her explanation submitted to the Arbitration Board, "There is a video being mentioned that is attempted to be associated with me, but it has nothing to do with me and the quality of the footage is extremely poor. The person in the footage is not me, and facing such a serious accusation is an attack on a woman's honor. The video in question, allegedly shared on the social media account named 'E.............' on 23.02.2024, has nothing to do with me and has not been shared on any of my social media platforms."

COMPLAINTS FLOODED TO TFF

Claims that observer O.E., who also serves as the President of the Istanbul Provincial Referee Board, provided significant support for referee E.K. to advance in her career and frequently officiate matches have resonated widely in the football community. It has been revealed that many complaints have been sent to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regarding this situation, which has caused discomfort in the community.
