The US army has withdrawn from three small military points located in areas occupied by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in northeastern Syria, pulling back to their other bases.

WITHDREW FROM 3 MILITARY POINTS

US soldiers evacuated three small military points located in the villages of Hadra and Fırat, around the city center of Hasakah and the Koniko and Omar oil fields in Deir ez-Zor, yesterday and returned to their main bases.

The soldiers and equipment in Hasakah were moved to a base in the Rumeilan district of the same province, while those in Deir ez-Zor were relocated to a base in the Koniko oil field.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In October 2019, the US had withdrawn from many of its bases in the operation area with the start of the Peace Spring Operation, focusing on the oil and gas fields.

Currently, US forces are present in 21 bases and military points identified by AA in the provinces of Hasakah, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor east of the Euphrates, as well as in the Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) district of Aleppo province. The areas where US forces are present in northeastern Syria are under the occupation of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG.
