US STRIKES ANOTHER BOAT OFF VENEZUELA
Trump stated that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a command for a lethal kinetic strike against a boat involved in drug trafficking connected to foreign terrorist organizations this morning in the area of responsibility of the US Southern Command, off the coast of Venezuela.
HE GAVE THE ORDER HIMSELF
Emphasizing that the attack was carried out under his command, Trump reported that intelligence data confirmed that the boat in question was involved in drug trafficking, was connected to illegal "narcoterrorists," and was moving along a known route used by the organization.
6 PEOPLE DIED
Stating that the attack took place in international waters, Trump noted that 6 people on the boat lost their lives in the attack, while US soldiers were unharmed. In a 33-second video he shared, flames were seen rising from a rapidly moving boat as a result of the attack.
ACTIVITY IN THE CARIBBEAN
Under Trump's orders, a naval force consisting of a submarine and 7 warships was sent to the Caribbean region, off the coast of Venezuela, and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had also stated that the US military was ready for operations, including regime change in Venezuela.
The US targeting some boats off the coast of Venezuela on the grounds of "drug trafficking" has led to criticism from both the Venezuelan government and the international community, with claims that the attacks were "contrary to international law."
In response, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that he had mobilized 4.5 million militia forces in the country and was ready to "repel any attack."
The US warships stationed in the region had sunk 2 boats that were allegedly carrying drugs, which had set sail from Venezuela, in attacks carried out at different times.
