The U.S. Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, announced that they will deliver the MOAB, known as the "Mother of All Bombs," which is the most powerful non-nuclear bomb, to Israel. No one had provided this bomb to Israel since it requested it in 2000, from the Bush administration to Joe Biden. Allegedly, Israel is considering using the MOAB against Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump (78) hosted Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday. He presented a scandalous plan to build luxury resorts on the lands of Palestinians displaced by the U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip. The plan caused great astonishment worldwide. However, shortly after, the Republican leader, who started his second presidential term quite assertively, also targeted Iran.
THEY WILL SEND 11-TON BOMBS
Trump's "crisis manager" in the Middle East, Steve Witkoff (67), announced that they would deliver one of the most powerful non-nuclear weapon systems to Israel. According to Witkoff, the Pentagon will send massive 11-ton bombs capable of destroying deep underground bunkers.
"THEY CAN TARGET URANIUM FACILITIES"
According to a commentary by BILD newspaper, "The message is clear: With these bombs, the Israeli army can target the underground uranium enrichment facilities where Iran produces raw materials for nuclear weapons."
According to the report, the delivery plans for these bombs are seen as a signal of Israel's strategic direction towards future conflicts with Tehran. Israelis have been requesting these mega bombs since the early 2000s, but all presidents from George W. Bush (78) to Joe Biden (82) have rejected this export. Even Trump did not approve this request during his first term. Therefore, military analysts assessed that the Israeli army did not have the capacity to destroy Iran's nuclear program. Intelligence reports indicate that Iran could become the world's tenth nuclear power within this year in the worst-case scenario.
USED AGAINST ISIS IN 2017
GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB, known as the "Mother of All Bombs") is a guided bomb developed for the United States Army. At the time of its development, it was touted as the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the U.S. arsenal. MOAB was first used on April 13, 2017, in airstrikes against ISIS hideouts in Afghanistan.
GBU-43s are delivered from C-130 cargo planes, where they are carried in cradles on air drop platforms. The bombs are dropped by deploying drogue parachutes that release the cradle and platform from the aircraft. Shortly after the launch, the drogues are released, and the bomb falls without a delay parachute. GPS satellite guidance is used to direct the bombs to their targets. MOAB is designed to be used against a specific target and cannot replicate the effects of a typical heavy bombing mission on its own.
"IF THEY DO IT, THEY WILL BE DESTROYED"
In response to questions about this issue in the Oval Office, Trump stated that there are credible reports that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards have prepared an assassination plan against him. Trump clearly expressed what would happen if something were to happen to him: "If they do such a thing, they will be destroyed. I left my instructions; nothing will remain."
