In relation to the armed attack carried out by a motorcycle assailant in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, which resulted in the death of one person, Kadir N., who was taken into custody, confessed in his statement that he was hired as the shooter. The suspect, who stated that he pulled the trigger for 50,000 euros, shared the names and code names of the individuals who incited him to commit the murder with the security forces in his statement.

44-year-old Cengiz Şire, who was sitting in a café he operated with his wife in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, was shot with a single bullet by an attacker approaching from behind. Şire lost his life after days of fighting for survival. The armed assailant was caught while preparing to flee abroad and confessed during interrogation that he was hired as a hitman.

Kadir N., who was detained in connection with the armed attack, provided a statement to Sabah. In his statement to the prosecutor's office, Kadir N. claimed that the offer to be a hitman was made by a person named Arda A., and that he was told he would be helped to escape abroad after the incident. N., who stated that he struggled with difficult living conditions alongside his family and had worked in textile workshops for a period, mentioned that he was brought from Darıca, Kocaeli to Istanbul a few days ago, where he was introduced to A. and other suspects.

In his statement, he said, "They chose me for this job. They told me they would give me 50 thousand euros. They said they would kill me if I didn't accept. I was under pressure. Arda A. wanted me to do this job; he was the one who directed me."

Kadir N. detailed the moment of the murder. He stated that he had seen a photo of the target person sitting in a café in Beşiktaş Çarşı beforehand, that he arrived in the area on a motorcycle on the day of the incident, and that he pulled the trigger at the scene. Then, the escape plan that had been prepared was put into action. "Uğurcan gave me the gun. Arda told me when to shoot. After the incident, we left there on a motorcycle. We scattered into the streets while escaping. I later went to Edirne, from where they were going to smuggle me to Greece," he conveyed the plan after the incident.

CODES, FAKE IDENTITIES, CASH PAYMENTS

N. claimed that individuals named Arda A., Eray T., Uğurcan, and Ali T. acted in an organized manner, stating that he was only a hitman and that the entire plan was devised by these individuals. His statement, especially mentioning that "the person named Uğurcan gave me the gun and used the name 'Casperslar' on social media," led to the investigation deepening to include social media connections. N. explained that Uğurcan used a fake name and communicated with him through social media, stating that members of the criminal organization used secret accounts and code names for communication.

CONFUSING MONEY TRAFFIC AND ESCAPE ROUTE

N. stated in his testimony that they planned to escape to Greece via Edirne after the murder, that they would pick him up at the border with a vehicle, that a payment of 5000 euros was made, and that the remaining money would be delivered to him when he crossed into Greece. He also mentioned that after the incident, the individuals who organized the escape plan told him "what to do and where to go," indicating that he was an intermediary for the criminal network.

SUSPECTED INDIVIDUALS IDENTIFIED ONE BY ONE

During the prosecutor's interrogation, Kadir N. was shown photographs of some suspected individuals. He recognized the person numbered 1 as Ali T., saw Arda A. as the planner of the murder, stated that Eray T. acted together with him on the day of the incident, and expressed that Burhan B. was just someone he knew. He also mentioned that Uğurcan was one of the managers of the incident and the person who provided the weapon.
