The UN predicts that 305 million people will need humanitarian assistance in 2025. Tom Fletcher, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, announced the report titled 'Global Humanitarian Overview 2025' from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Fletcher shared the prediction that 305 million people worldwide will need humanitarian assistance next year, stating that the UN and humanitarian partners have launched a $47 billion appeal to support 190 million people globally in 2025. 150 MILLION PEOPLE WILL BE DEPRIVED OF AIDStating that the world is a fire pit, Fletcher emphasized that the most vulnerable, including women, children, and the disabled, are paying the highest prices, expressing a strong desire to reach the other 150 million people in need, but stating that this is not possible with the current funding.
