The United States has imposed sanctions on 6 individuals and 6 entities from Iran and China on the grounds that they "played a role in supplying ballistic missile materials on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)."

A statement was made by the U.S. Department of the Treasury regarding the new sanctions decision of the "Office of Foreign Assets Control" (OFAC).
The statement noted that sanctions were imposed on 6 individuals and 6 entities from Iran and China for "playing a role in the network supplying ballistic missile materials on behalf of the IRGC." The statement also included a remark from U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, stating that "Iran's aggressive development of missile and other weapon capabilities poses a threat to the security of the U.S. and its allies."
