A driver without a license, who drove an uninsured vehicle under the influence of alcohol in Aksaray, virtually disregarded traffic rules. When he crashed and was caught by the police, the driver, who did not drop the drink in his hand, caused difficult moments for the teams.

HE DID NOT DROP THE BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL

The incident occurred on the Aksaray - Adana highway at midnight. According to the information obtained, teams that received a report of an accident on the highway quickly arrived at the scene and found the crashed vehicle along with an individual. The teams, who questioned a person named C.D. standing with a bottle of alcohol in his hand, determined through security and PTS camera footage that he was the driver of the vehicle. The teams, who found that the driver had caused a one-sided accident, wanted to conduct an alcohol test on him. The intoxicated driver, who insisted that he was not the driver and tried to evade punishment, created difficulties for the police teams with the bottle of alcohol in his hand. A query made from the vehicle's license plate revealed that the vehicle was uninsured, while the inquiry into the intoxicated driver named C.D. revealed that he did not have a driver's license.

"DROP ME OFF AT HOME"

The driver, who refused to blow into the breathalyzer, continued to make mistakes, and his responses to the police teams and his refusal to drop the bottle of alcohol marked the police's struggle with the intoxicated driver. When the driver was to be taken to the police station for his statement, he responded, "I am not the driver, my father is coming. Nothing happened, I didn't hit anything, just let me go home, bro."

LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE DRIVER

Seeing the ambulance that arrived at the scene, the driver reacted by saying, "Don't bring that out too, I don't have my ID," while resisting to drop the bottle of alcohol during his arrest. The driver, who said, "I won't drop it," shouted orders at the police teams, but after long efforts by the police officers, he was convinced and taken into the police vehicle. While the driver was taken to the police station for his statement, he was fined a total of 20,106 lira: 6,439 lira for driving under the influence of alcohol, 690 lira for driving an uninsured vehicle, and 12,977 lira for driving without a license. The vehicle was also removed from traffic and towed to the parking lot. Legal action was initiated against the driver, who was taken for his statement.
