The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that troops were deployed on an Iranian-flagged oil tanker suspected of attempting to violate the U.S. blockade in the Gulf of Oman.
THEY OPERATED ON AN IRANIAN SHIP IN HORMUZ
The U.S. blockade in the Strait of Hormuz has been ongoing since April 13. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) deployed troops on the Iranian-flagged Celestial Sea, which was traveling to an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman and was suspected of attempting to violate the U.S. blockade. CENTCOM stated that soldiers searched the ship and left after ordering the crew to change its course.
CENTCOM also said, "U.S. forces continue to fully enforce the blockade and have so far diverted 91 commercial vessels to ensure compliance with the rules."
