The US announced it struck approximately 90 military targets along Iran's coast after attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran retaliated by launching missile and drone strikes on US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump issued a new threat, saying, "This is retaliation for Iran's bomb attack on the ships yesterday. If this happens again, the situation will get much worse."

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday that a new air operation was conducted against approximately 90 military targets along Iran's coastline to reduce the country's capacity to attack commercial vessels.

The statement indicated that the attacks targeted air defense systems, coastal surveillance elements, missile and drone storage facilities, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure.

"IRAN VIOLATED THE CEASEFIRE"

CENTCOM stated that the operation was a continuation of strikes carried out the previous night and was conducted after Iran attacked three commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The command also announced that nearly 80 military targets were hit in the attacks carried out on July 7, including more than 60 speedboats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The US reported that these operations aim to increase the cost of Iran's violation of the ceasefire by attacking commercial vessels.

TRUMP'S NEW THREAT: THE SITUATION WILL GET MUCH WORSE

Following the attacks, US President Donald Trump made a statement on his social platform Truth, saying, "This is retaliation for Iran's bombing attack on ships yesterday. If this recurs, the situation will get much worse."

IRAN'S RETALIATION AGAINST US BASES IN KUWAIT AND BAHRAIN

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that a joint operation by naval and air forces targeted US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain with missiles and drones.

According to the statement, the attacks were carried out against the Arifjan and Ali Al Salem bases in Kuwait and the Juffair and Sheikh Isa bases in Bahrain.

The Revolutionary Guard claimed that key infrastructure and facilities at the bases were hit, warning that if the US conducts new attacks, additional retaliations against American bases in the region would follow.

"US ACTIONS WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED"

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the US attacks will not go unanswered. Speaking to Iranian state television, Gharibabadi evaluated the US strikes.

Gharibabadi said the US failed to implement the agreement reached through Pakistan on June 14, noting that the memorandum of understanding required the parties to progress step by step.

Referring to US President Donald Trump's insulting statements towards Iran, Gharibabadi said, "Today, his statements from insulting the Iranian nation to threatening more attacks are not a sign of authority, but an admission of the failure of a policy based on power, sanctions, and threats for years that could not bring the Iranian nation to its knees. We must speak to the criminal and murderer Trump in his own language, and apparently, he understands the language of power better." Gharibabadi added, "The US's latest actions will not go unanswered."

TRUMP: WE WILL STRIKE IRAN TONIGHT

After the NATO Leaders Summit, US President Donald Trump said the following regarding the attacks on Iran: "Iran is behaving very badly, violating the deal. They are being very naughty. We struck them very hard. They need to wise up. We will likely hit Iran very hard this evening. Normally I wouldn't say it, but they have nothing they can do anymore.

Iran's military forces are gone. Iran's navy is at the bottom of the sea. Yesterday we hit 28 of Iran's boats. I don't know if there will be a deal with Iran. The whole war was about Iran's denuclearization. We don't want them to have nuclear weapons. They are all crazy. For 47 years, we saw them as the bully of the Middle East, but they are no longer. They will not have nuclear weapons as long as I am here. People always cheat. You make a deal. First, they say: 'Okay, we accept. We will never have a nuclear weapon.' They run it with deception, lies, and scrap."
