In the sixth wave of attacks following US President Donald Trump's threats against Iran's infrastructure, bridges and railway connection stations were targeted. As Iranian retaliatory strikes triggered sirens in Gulf countries, the Iranian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the latest attacks had risen to 38 and the number of injured to over 400.

Tensions between the US and Iran continue to escalate. Following US President Donald Trump's harsh statements that they would target Iran's energy and transportation infrastructure, the 6th wave of attacks was launched by US forces.

TWO BRIDGES STRUCK

Two strategic bridges in the Bender Hamir district of Hormozgan province were hit by an airstrike, and the driver of a civilian vehicle traveling on one of the bridges was killed.

RAILWAY STATION ALSO TARGETED

Immediately after the bridges, the attacks turned to the city of Bandar Abbas near the Strait of Hormuz. According to information reported by Iranian state television, a critical railway connection station in the city was directly hit in the airstrike. In the resulting explosion, two people were injured according to initial assessments. Following the intensified bombardments, Iran's Ministry of Health announced the grim toll; the number of fatalities in the latest US attacks rose to 38, while the number of injured exceeded 400.

RED ALERT IN GULF COUNTRIES: SIRENS SOUNDED, CALL TO STAY HOME ISSUED

Responding to the US bombardments, Iran began striking bases and targets used by US forces in the region with missiles and drones. The mutual attacks triggered a major alarm across the Gulf.

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior announced that sirens were sounding, warning the public to remain calm and withdraw to the nearest safe areas.

Kuwait's army stated that air defense systems were activated against threats from Iranian missiles and drones, noting that the sounds of explosions heard were from defense systems.

Qatar's Ministry of Interior, due to the heightened security threat level, requested citizens to stay home and avoid windows and open areas. It was reported that a child was injured by falling missile shrapnel.

Qatar's Ministry of Defense announced that after the sounds of explosions heard over the capital Doha, missiles targeting the country were intercepted by air defense systems.

TRUMP HAD THREATENED INFRASTRUCTURE

The basis of these ongoing hot conflicts lies in the threatening statements made by US President Donald Trump in recent days. Trump stated that if Iran does not come to the negotiating table, they will destroy their infrastructure facilities, using the following words:

"Next week, it will be the turn of power plants and bridges. If they do not come to the negotiating table, we will disable all their power plants and bridges."

The Iranian side responded promptly to Trump's words. Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, Spokesman for the Iranian General Staff, signaled retaliation in an assessment to state television, warning, "If an attack is carried out on Iran's infrastructure, all infrastructure in the region will be our target." Military activity and mutual retaliation in the region continue at a critical level.
