According to reports in the foreign press, the incident took place in the city of Hebron (Al-Khalil) in the West Bank. Witnesses reported that Israeli soldiers raided the wedding hall, held the groom and some guests for about an hour, and then released them. It was also reported that some vehicles around the wedding venue were damaged during the raid. The Israeli army, however, did not provide a detailed statement regarding the reason for the operation.
Some Palestinian sources also reported that in a raid on another wedding held in the town of Anata near Jerusalem in the West Bank, three people were detained, soldiers used tear gas, and many people, including women and children, were affected.
FOOTAGE SPARKS CONTROVERSY
The footage shared on social media quickly drew widespread reaction. However, the claim accompanying the video that "children were also detained" cannot be independently verified based on these images. What is confirmed by the foreign press is that Israeli forces conducted raids on weddings and detained some participants. There is no official or independently verified statement regarding the status of children in this incident.
