The wife of martyr police officer Bülent Ay, Neslihan Ay, who lives in Amasya, was defrauded of 54 thousand lira while trying to rent an apartment for her daughter studying in Ankara. Neslihan Ay, who is also the President of the Amasya Martyrs' Families and Disabled Veterans Association, entered a website to find a rental apartment for her daughter studying at university in Ankara. After liking the apartment on the website, Ay contacted the person who claimed to be the landlord. The person who assured Ay over the phone requested that the 54 thousand lira, which is the rent for three months, be transferred to their account. "IT'S SO BAD THAT THEY CAN EAT THE MONEY OF A MARTYR'S CHILD..."After transferring 54 thousand lira to the fraudster's account, Ay was unable to reach the suspect's phone when she called again to ask for more money. Realizing she had been defrauded, Ay reported the incident to the police. In a statement to reporters, Ay expressed their shock and sadness. She explained that after transferring 54 thousand lira, the suspect asked for more money, which made her suspicious. Ay said, "The phones are not being answered, there is no such building there, there is no such house there. I filed a complaint, I went to the police station to report the crime, and I applied to cyber crimes. Friends mentioned that this person has many records with such cases and that there is an arrest warrant for them. In a world where there are really bad people who could eat the money of a martyr's child, people should be more careful." she stated.
