In Kütahya, neighbors of 72-year-old Şerife D., who lives alone, reported to the authorities after realizing that the food left at her door had not been taken for two days and they had not heard from her. Firefighters entered the home through the balcony and found the elderly woman motionless among piles of garbage. Şerife D. was taken to the hospital, and it was learned that her health condition is good.
THEY SUSPECTED WHEN THE FOOD LEFT AT HER DOOR WAS NOT TAKEN
The incident occurred on the second floor of a six-story building on Aşiyan Street in the Yunusemre neighborhood of Kütahya.
Neighbors, noticing that the food left at Şerife D.'s door had not been taken for two days and unable to reach the elderly woman, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon the report.
FIREFIGHTERS ENTERED THE HOME THROUGH THE BALCONY
As the door would not open, the teams decided to enter the home through the balcony. Firefighters entered the apartment from the balcony and conducted a search inside.
The teams found Şerife D. motionless among the piles of garbage accumulated in the home.
SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
Medical teams provided first aid to Şerife D. at the scene. It was then learned that the 72-year-old woman, who was taken to Kütahya City Hospital by ambulance, is in good health.
MUNICIPAL TEAMS BEGAN CLEANING THE GARBAGE HOME
After the police completed their examination of the home, municipal teams arrived at the address. The teams began cleaning efforts in the home where the piles of garbage were located.
