The words uttered by Hakan Sayacı, who killed his ex-girlfriend Şerife Gezer with a gun at a yufka shop in Gaziosmanpaşa, just before the attack have been revealed. It was learned that Sayacı started an argument with Gezer upon encountering her, saying 'How could you cheat on me,' and then opened fire.
Hakan Sayaci, who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend Serife Gezer in Gaziosmanpasa, was taken into custody. Gezer, 41, was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved despite all medical interventions.
HE FOLLOWED HER BY TAXI
The incident occurred on Cengiz Topel Street around 11:30 AM. According to the claim, 51-year-old Hakan Sayaci began following Serife Gezer, whom he had broken up with some time ago, by taxi.
HE ARGUED SAYING "HOW COULD YOU CHEAT ON ME"
After Gezer got off the minibus, Sayaci got out of the taxi and started arguing with the woman, saying, "How could you cheat on me." As the argument escalated, Gezer took refuge in a nearby phyllo dough shop.
SHE TOOK REFUGE IN A PHYLLO SHOP, HE FOLLOWED HER
Sayaci also entered the workplace after Gezer. The suspect fired one shot with his gun there, wounding Gezer. Following the woman who walked out wounded, Sayaci fired again in the street.
While Serife Gezer was seriously wounded, Sayaci re-entered the workplace and this time pointed the gun at his own head.
SPECIAL OPERATION TEAM ALSO CAME TO THE AREA
Following the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Gezer, seriously wounded, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial medical intervention.
Police teams initiated persuasion efforts for Sayaci, who remained in the workplace without dropping his gun, to surrender. As a result of the efforts, during which Special Operation police were also present, Sayaci dropped his gun and surrendered.
SERIFE GEZER COULD NOT BE SAVED
Serife Gezer, who was taken under treatment at the hospital, lost her life despite all interventions.
Hakan Sayaci, who was taken into custody, was taken to the Gayrettepe Public Order Branch Directorate to be questioned by the Homicide Bureau teams of the Public Order Branch Directorate.
