Russia launched a simultaneous airstrike on Ukraine with 50 different types of missiles and 297 drones (UAVs). One person was killed and eight others were injured in the attacks.
In a written statement by the Ukrainian Air Force Command, it was stated that Russia carried out simultaneous airstrikes using missiles and drones targeting different regions of Ukraine.
50 MISSILES WERE USED
The statement emphasized that the Russian army used 50 missiles of different types, including cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic missiles, in the attack, and also conducted the assault with 297 drones. It was mentioned in the statement that 33 missiles and 274 drones were neutralized by Ukrainian air defense forces, and the remaining missiles and drones hit 14 locations.
MORE THAN 1300 DRONES USED IN THE LAST WEEK
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the airstrike carried out by the Russian army today through a post on his social media account, stating that search and rescue operations were ongoing in some regions. In his message, Zelensky expressed that Russia targeted the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, as well as Odessa and Poltava in Ukraine.
"THE MAIN TARGET OF THE ATTACK WAS THE ENERGY SECTOR"
Zelensky shared the information that one person was killed and eight others were injured due to the attacks, stating, "The main target of the attack was the energy sector. Ordinary residential buildings and railways were also damaged."
Zelensky recalled that tripartite negotiations were ongoing between the US, Ukraine, and Russia to end the Russia-Ukraine War, stating, "Moscow continues to allocate more of its resources to airstrikes than it spends on diplomacy."
"TERRORIST ATTACK"
Ukrainian President Zelensky reported that Russia carried out attacks on his country with over 1300 drones, 96 missiles, and more than 1400 guided bombs within a week. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, in a statement made on the social media platform of the US-based X company, described the airstrikes carried out by Russia on his country as a terrorist attack.
