In Istanbul's Bağcılar district, police captured fugitive convicts in a house they entered on a drug tip-off. Hearing the convicts' conversation, 'Did they also get the ones in the next apartment?', teams conducted an operation on the adjacent apartment as well, detaining a total of 5 fugitives. During the operation, cocaine, drug-infused napkins, unlicensed guns, and ammunition were seized.
In a police operation triggered by a drug tip-off in Bağcılar, the suspects' whispered conversation led to a second raid. A total of 5 fugitive convicts were caught, and drugs and weapons were seized.
3 PEOPLE CAUGHT IN THE FIRST RAID
The incident occurred on Thursday, July 9, around 23:00 in the Bağlar neighborhood. According to information obtained, Bağcılar Public Order Bureau teams conducted an operation based on a tip-off that drugs were present in a house and wanted individuals were hiding there. Police went to one of two adjacent apartments and caught 3 convicts with finalized prison sentences.
"DID THEY TAKE THE ONES IN THE NEXT APARTMENT TOO?"
Hearing the caught convicts whispering among themselves, "Did they take the ones in the next apartment too?", the teams decided to check the adjacent apartment as well. During the inspections, 2 more convicts with finalized prison sentences were caught. The caught convicts were identified as Nurullah D. (25), Veysel T. (39), Emre B. (28), Serkan K. (26), and Süleyman A. (26). It was determined that Nurullah D. had 3 prior criminal records and was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 17 years and 11 days for 'Intentional killing of a child' and 'Escape of a convict or detainee'. Veysel T. had 2 prior criminal records with the police and was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 16 years for 'Making or supplying drugs or stimulants'.
IT WAS REVEALED THAT THEY WERE WANTED WITH A TOTAL OF 78 YEARS, 3 MONTHS, AND 29 DAYS OF PRISON SENTENCES
It was learned that Emre B. had 15 prior criminal records with the police and was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 23 years, 4 months, and 15 days for 'Theft of property under protection inside a building' and 'Escape of a convict or detainee' by different courts. It was determined that Serkan K. had 11 prior criminal records and was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 20 years, 3 months, and 3 days for 'Armed robbery by multiple persons' and 'Escape of a convict or detainee'. It was reported that caught Süleyman A. had 12 prior criminal records and was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 1 year and 8 months for 'Buying or carrying an unlicensed gun and ammunition'.
COCAINE, DRUG RAW MATERIALS, AND A PISTOL WERE SEIZED
In the operation, 13 grams of drug raw material, 34 grams of liquid drug raw material, a total of 1,480 doses of drug-infused napkins in 5 pieces, 14.60 grams and 1.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 1 unlicensed pistol, 14 bullets, and 8 mobile phones were seized. During the interrogation of Ramazan Y. (22), who was in the house, no arrest record was found against him. Ramazan Y., who was reported to have 3 prior criminal records with the police, was taken to the police station for processing.
