Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who was hospitalized due to heart problems and underwent surgery for aortic rupture, has been in intensive care for 4 days. His life-threatening condition remains critical, and the latest health status of Önder was announced by AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala. Ala, who visited Önder in the hospital, stated, "According to the information we have received, his condition continues to be stable. Of course, this situation is always risky."
Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Istanbul Deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder was taken to Florence Nightingale Hospital in Şişli due to heart problems on the evening of April 15. The first intervention was made by 112 ambulance teams when Önder's heart stopped at 22:41. Önder received 10 minutes of CPR in the emergency room, and his heart stopped again at 23:05. Önder was urgently taken into surgery, which started at 23:35 and lasted approximately 12 hours.
In the latest statement from Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital, it was reported that there was no change in Önder's general condition. DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan stated in a press release after the hospital visit, "There is no bad news, his condition is stable. The process is now proceeding as anticipated."
"OUR ONLY PRAYER IS FOR HIM"
Ala said the following regarding Önder's latest health status:
"From the beginning of the process, Turkey has been united as one heart. Our President and our Ministry of Trade have done everything necessary in a timely manner. Now, our only prayer, our only wish is for him. We hope that the heart of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, which has always beat to support others, will now beat to sustain his own life. Our prayers are with him. We are not in a position to make a statement regarding his health status.

I can say this; according to the information we have received, his condition remains stable. Of course, this issue is always risky. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the evaluations of our healthcare workers and professors. However, we are reassured by the performance demonstrated by all hospital staff, with the understanding that 'everyone has done their best.' Our prayers and wishes are for him to regain his health soon. We hope that his heart will continue to sustain his own life from now on.
