The safari vehicle, which started sliding as the driver Emre Alıcı got out of the driver's seat, rolled down from a height of 10 meters in Alanya. Alıcı's wife, who was in the vehicle that he was trying to stop, lost her life, while their 1-year-old daughter got injured.

The accident, in which a safari vehicle lost control while parked on a ramp in Alanya district of Antalya and rolled down from a height of approximately 10 meters, resulting in the death of Esma Alıcı (31) and the injury of her 1-year-old daughter Fatma Ela Alıcı, was captured on a security camera.

The incident occurred yesterday around 18:30 in Sugözü Mahallesi Kütürüp mevkisinde. The driver, Emre Alıcı, parked the safari vehicle with license plate number 07 AYK 819 on the ramp and got out of the car along with his wife Esma Alıcı and their daughter Fatma Ela Alıcı. Allegedly, the car, whose handbrake was not pulled, started to move backwards. Emre Alıcı, who noticed the situation, tried to pull the handbrake by hanging on to the open door of the car but was unsuccessful. The safari vehicle rolled down to the area where construction materials were located from a height of approximately 10 meters, while Emre Alıcı managed to throw himself to the ground and save himself.

BABY'S CONDITION IS GOOD

After the notification, a large number of police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Fatma Ela Alıcı, who was rescued from the vehicle by the fire brigade, was taken to the hospital in the district by ambulance, and it was determined that her mother Esma Alıcı had died. Esma Alıcı's lifeless body was taken to Alanya Municipality morgue by a funeral vehicle after the prosecutor's examination. It was stated that Fatma Ela Alıcı's treatment at the hospital is ongoing and her condition is good. Emre Alıcı was taken to the police station to give his statement. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.

HEARTBREAKING MOMENTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA

Meanwhile, the accident was captured on security camera footage. Emre Alıcı, who was waiting outside with the driver's door open, can be seen in the footage as the safari vehicle parked downhill suddenly moved, hit the retaining wall, and then disappeared towards the cliff area in reverse. It was observed that Emre Alıcı ran next to the open driver's door while the car was moving and was thrown onto the road after a while.
