Horo Özdemir, a 29-year-old shepherd, lost his life after being struck by lightning while grazing animals in the Kadirli district of Osmaniye. The shepherd next to him was injured and taken to hospital. It was learned that Özdemir, who came from Kilis to Osmaniye to work, died just one day before his wedding anniversary.

LIGHTNING STRUCK HIM IN THE FIELD
The incident occurred around 15:00 in Vayvaylı village in the district. Lightning struck the area where shepherds were grazing their animals in the field. Upon notification, medical teams were dispatched to the region. During their examination, the teams determined that shepherd Horo Özdemir had died. The shepherd next to him, whose name could not be learned, was taken to the hospital and placed under treatment.
ONE DAY BEFORE THEIR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
It was determined that Horo Özdemir, who was learned to have come to the district from Kilis to work, got married on October 29, 2022. Özdemir's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy.
