In a fraud investigation conducted in 27 provinces centered on Şanlıurfa, 4 suspects who were determined to have defrauded 46 citizens by phone of a total of 37 million 906 thousand 851 TL were arrested. During an operation carried out in Akçakale on October 28, 13 mobile phones, 13 SIM cards, 1 SIM card block, and 21 captagon pills were seized at the address of the suspects who were caught red-handed.
In the fraud operation carried out in 27 provinces based in Şanlıurfa, 4 people who were detained for defrauding 46 citizens of 37 million 906 thousand 851 TL were arrested by the court to which they were brought.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED IN AKÇAKALE
Şanlıurfa Provincial Police Department teams carried out a significant operation within the scope of combating the crime of qualified fraud through communication. As a result of the work carried out under the coordination of the Akçakale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was organized on October 28 at an address identified in Akçakale district against suspects determined to have obtained unfair gain by defrauding citizens by phone. In the operation carried out with the participation of 7 teams and 16 personnel, 4 suspects were caught red-handed and taken into custody.
During searches at the suspects' addresses, 13 mobile phones, 13 SIM cards, and 1 SIM card block, which are considered to have been used in fraud activities, as well as 21 captagon and 1 pill considered to be narcotics, were seized.
37.9 MILLION LIRA FROM 46 PEOPLE
It was determined that the caught suspects defrauded 46 citizens in 27 provinces and obtained a total of 37 million 906 thousand 851 TL in unfair gain. After their procedures at the police station, the 4 suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the court to which they were brought and sent to prison.
