Seven suspects identified as loan sharks in Bursa were detained in a dawn operation. During the operation, 576,700 TL in cash, numerous checks, promissory notes, land title deeds, weapons, and ammunition were seized.

CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND POLICE COORDINATED
Under the coordination of the İznik Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, teams from the Bursa Provincial Police Department’s Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch carried out an operation against individuals engaged in usury in İznik.
THEY INDEBTED CITIZENS AND SEIZED THEIR PROPERTIES
Investigations revealed that the suspects indebted citizens with high interest rates, had them sign blank or high-value checks and promissory notes as collateral, and transferred the assets of victims who could not repay their debts through threats and coercion.
In the operation, numerous checks and promissory notes issued in different names, title deeds, 576,700 TL in cash, an unlicensed pistol, many rounds of ammunition, digital materials, and various documents were seized.
7 SUSPECTS REFERRED TO COURT
Within the scope of the operation, 7 suspects named M.A., E.A., U.T., U.D., A.D., S.S., and M.C. were taken into custody. After police procedures, the suspects were referred to the İznik Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with a case file prepared on the charge of 'usury'.
In a statement from the Bursa Provincial Police Department, it was said: 'Our fight against individuals and organizations that obtain illegal gains through usury will continue with determination.'
