The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an ex officio investigation regarding the sharing of images taken during the trial of Aziz İhsan Aktaş on social media. It was emphasized that the unauthorized recording and sharing of the images constitutes a crime.
It was announced that an ex officio investigation has been initiated regarding the sharing of images taken during the trial of Aziz İhsan Aktaş at the Istanbul 1st Heavy Penal Court in Silivri on social media.
In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that images, which were understood to have been taken during the trial held today in courtroom No. 1 at the Marmara Penal Institutions campus under the case file numbered 2025/364 of the Istanbul 1st Heavy Penal Court, were shared through social media accounts.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED FOR TRIAL IMAGES
In the statement, it was indicated that the unauthorized recording and sharing of audio or video during the prosecution process constitutes a crime under Article 286 of the Turkish Penal Code, and an ex officio investigation has been initiated against those who recorded and shared the images.
The statement also noted that necessary instructions have been given to the Cyber Crimes Department of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators.
