WRITTEN STATEMENT FOLLOWING THE MGK
The meeting held at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan lasted for 3 hours. After the meeting, a written statement consisting of 9 items was made.
The statement included the following expressions: "The political, military, economic, and social events that occurred in 2025 and are important for our national security have been evaluated; possible developments that may be encountered in 2026, as well as the works to be carried out and the measures to be taken in this context, have been discussed."
"THE GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY WILL CONTINUE WITH DETERMINATION"
Information was provided to the Council regarding the activities carried out with determination, decisiveness, and success against all kinds of threats and dangers to our national unity and integrity, primarily the terrorist organizations PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ, and ISIS, as well as recent international developments.
The stage reached in the direction of the goal of a "terror-free Turkey" was addressed; it was emphasized that steps to strengthen the security, stability, and prosperity of our country and region will continue with determination.

It was recorded that strong support was given to the efforts to ensure the sovereignty, territorial integrity, unitary structure, and political unity of our neighbor Syria, and that efforts to increase the peace, security, and prosperity of the Syrian people will continue.
THE LATEST SITUATION IN GAZA WAS DISCUSSED
The latest situation in Gaza and the future of the ceasefire were evaluated; it was emphasized that Turkey, as a founding member of the international structures established to resolve the Gaza issue, will continue its efforts to deliver comprehensive humanitarian aid to the region, and it was confirmed that Turkey is ready to assume all responsibilities together with its partners for the reconstruction of Gaza and the establishment of lasting peace.
Our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia was underscored; it was expressed that Turkey will continue to fulfill the requirements of brotherhood law in the struggle of the Somali people against terrorist organizations.
Current developments centered around Iran were thoroughly discussed; it was emphasized that the stability and peace of our neighbor Iran are of great importance for the security of our region.
The current situation in the Russia-Ukraine War was evaluated; it was once again reminded that all parties must act responsibly to ensure that the repercussions of the war do not undermine the stability that is being sought to be maintained in the Black Sea.
It was stated that Turkey will continue its efforts to end the war, which gradually increases regional and global risks, and to urgently establish lasting peace.
It was recorded that Turkey will continue its multidimensional activities aimed at maintaining peace and establishing stability in various conflict and crisis regions extending from its immediate surroundings to a wide geography in Asia, Africa, and Europe with determination in 2026 as well.
