As the Strait of Hormuz remains effectively closed due to the war between the US-Israel and Iran, a notable decision came from Tehran. Ibrahim Zulfikari, spokesperson for the Hatemul Enbiya Central Headquarters affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated, "Brother Iraq is exempt from the restrictions imposed in the Strait of Hormuz."

The spokesperson of the Hatemul Enbiya Central Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ibrahim Zulfikari, released a video directed at the Iraqi people.

"YOUR ATTITUDE AND ACTIONS WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY"

Zulfikari stated that Iran is at the forefront on the ground, but the determined stance of the Iraqi people also plays an important role in this process, saying, "The Iranian nation is not alone in this struggle. You are a source of motivation that increases our honor, determination, and resistance as the dignified and Muslim Iraqi people. We wish you success in your struggle against the U.S. and its elements. We pray that your steps are firm and your efforts result in victory. Your attitude and actions will go down in history."

"BROTHER IRAQ IS EXEMPT FROM THE RESTRICTIONS APPLIED IN THE HORMUZ STRAIT"

Zulfikari stated regarding the restrictions applied in the Hormuz Strait, "Brother Iraq is exempt from the restrictions applied in the Hormuz Strait. These restrictions are only aimed at enemy countries. We have great respect for Iraq's national sovereignty. The struggle of the Iraqi people, who bear the traces of the U.S. occupation, is commendable in this process. You have shown that you are a nation that does not bow down and does not submit to the hegemonic order. This situation is a source of pride for you," he said.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE HORMUZ STRAIT

The pressure created by the Hormuz Strait on the global energy market continues to be a bargaining chip for Iran in the war that began on February 28. The effective closure of the Hormuz Strait, which facilitates the transportation of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to global markets due to the war between the U.S.-Israel and Iran, has led to a crisis in energy markets. On March 25, the Iranian administration announced that non-enemy countries could pass through the strait. It is known that ships belonging to China, India, and Pakistan have passed through here. Despite Iran's denial, statements from the White House regarding negotiations caused oil prices to sharply decline in Asian markets on Wednesday, March 25. However, with the new month, prices experienced an increase again.

U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While negotiations continue between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the U.S.-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
